Reportedly, the smallest of the linearlobum maples, this spreading dwarf makes a handsome container specimen as well as being an asset in a perennial bed. It may also be appropriately selected for bonsai. Leaves are deep red when they emerge; later they become a bronzed green before turning scarlet in fall.
